Quick Tip: How to Easily Fix Photo Overlap in Quick Pages

Quick Tip: How to Easily Fix Photo Overlap in Quick Pages

Quick pages are designed to make scrapbooking fast and easy — just drop in your photos and you’re done. But sometimes you may want to adjust how your photos fit, especially when they overlap or extend beyond the frame.

Here’s a simple way to clean that up in just a few steps:

Step 1: Take a look at how your photos overlap in the quick page.
(Photo 1 shows an example of where the photos extend beyond the frame.)

Step 2: Use the shape tool to create a shape that covers the area you want to remove.

Step 3: Hold Control (Command on Mac) and click on the shape layer in the Layers panel. This will give you the “marching ants” selection.

Step 4: Click on the shape layer and delete it — you no longer need it.

Step 5: Click on your photo layer and press delete. The selected portion of the photo will disappear, giving you a clean edge.

Step 6: Press Control/Command + D to remove the selection.

This quick trick gives you more control over your layout while still keeping the ease and speed that quick pages are meant for.
